Goda Palekaitė
She is an artist and researcher of contemporary theatre and performance, combining anthropological and artistic practices in her work.
On the occasion of the collaboration between Contemporary Art Center and the largest advertising company in the world, Goda Palekaitė decided to use the available human resources and expanded possibilities for dissemination to spread ideas of anarchism. The axis of her project became the instigation of an anarchist committee and the moderation of its meetings. The committee is comprised of all of the individuals involved in the realisation of this exhibition: employees of the advertising company (from the areas of technical installation, logistics, administration and customer service) CAC staff and the exhibition participants (artists, curators, architect, designers). In the meetings they decide on the best methods to spread anarchist ideas in Lithuanian society and discuss abstract concepts such as labour, state, hierarchy, direct democracy, capitalism and freedom. For the “JCDecaux Award” exhibition the artist presented documentation of the committee meetings and their achievements so far.
