Kęstutis Montvidas At Approximate Distance, sculpture Using photographs of Mars obtained from NASA’s archives, Montvidas transposed the landscape of the planet onto a section of oak log. Such a landscape can normally only be seen through the mediation of a complex optical instrument, but in this case, the artist has presented it by means of archaic wood-working techniques.
